Before Rondo, activities such as recording, reviewing, distributing and maintaining a history of each student's or work's progress, had to be performed by a number of different programs, such as Audacity, Windows Explorer, and standalone programs for burning CDs.

Furthermore, each recording's assessment and review comments could only be recorded separately (usually by handwritten notes), which was time consuming and error-prone.

Now Rondo integrates all these activities into one easy to use package to provide a simple, streamlined interface which can be used even by computer novices.

Streamlined Operation

Simple, one-touch operation initiates recording a new 'take' of a student's work - no need to enter complicated file names, or risk overlaying earlier 'takes'.

Nor do you have to 'save' the current recording - it's all automatic!

Document your progress

To eliminate the need to keep separate handwritten performance assessment notes, you can annotate each 'take' by adding comment text - for example 'played too quickly' or '7 out of 10'.

The comment is retained and displayed alongside each take in the history display, so you can easily track and review each student's progress.

Easily share and publish your recordings

If you want to share the recordings with other people or send them, for example, to remote music assessors, you can upload to YouTube or burn them to Audio CD (playable on any ordinary CD player), or copy them to a USB flash drive.

This is all done through Rondo's integrated dialog, without the complexities of acquiring, installing and learning multiple, purpose built software programs.

Rondo will even send a notification email automatically to the recipient, if you wish!

Detailed playback and review

Of course, you can play back and review each recording and quickly jump to individual play-points.

You can also play each recording at normal speed, half speed, 0.75x, 1.5x or double speed to allow detailed examination and review of difficult or critical passages - all without changing the playback pitch.

Simple, automated backup system

Just two mouse-clicks to request a backup.

Rondo does the rest by remembering which recordings have already been backed up, then simply backing up the recordings which have been newly created since then.

Synchronize with tablets, phones, notebooks

Travelling teachers can record their students' performances onto tablet, mobile phone or laptop then later upload to Rondo for centralised management and distribution.

Existing users will be able to upgrade to Rondo 9 for free to take advantage of this new capability!
